World Marriage Day is celebrated around Valentine's Day to help spouses renew their marriage vows and celebrate the togetherness they have shared over the years. We at St. Thomas celebrated World Marriage Day on Sunday, 9th February 2025. The occasion was organized by the parish Family Cell with mass at 6 p.m., which included a special homily, renewal of marriage vows and blessing for married couples. The Eucharist was followed by a get together in the school quadrangle and was attended by around 70 energized people of all ages. The event began with cake & wine and a welcome by Fr. Christopher, the Spiritual Director of the Family Cell followed by sumptuous snacks, the wedding march, games, spot prizes and dance. The rhythm of the music played transcended all ages, that of the seniors as well as the youthful couples. It was heartening to have everybody participate enthusiastically in all the activities, especially the dancing. The function ended reluctantly around 10.30pm with a vote of thanks. Fr. Joe led us in the grace before meals and we all shared a wonderful meal together, leaving the venue with fond memories of an evening well spent in fun and celebration.
