North A - Zone organised a Zonal Outreach at St. Thomas Church on 27th November 2022 as a follow-up to the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, which was intended to further nurture, grow, and strengthen the members. This event was attended by over 170 members from 9 prayer groups spread across Kandivali and Goregaon, which are a part of North A-Zone.
The programme began with anointed Praise and Worship led by Maria Coelho and team, followed by Eucharistic adoration led by Fr. Daniel Fernandes, assistant parish priest of Infant Jesus Church. We then prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplet during the Hour of Grace.
“Power of the Cross” an encouraging talk by Francis Mendes, English Council coordinator of the CCR emphasised the importance of living a life inspired by the Word of God. “Bible Antakshari” and “Hunting through the Bible” conducted by Nirmala, Irene and Renita helped us brush up on our knowledge of the scriptures. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Bhaskar Gomes, who thanked all those who were instrumental in coordinating and making this event an enriching experience.
We had a good time of fellowship wherein we engaged with parishioners from other churches. While enjoying refreshments, we joined in the birthday celebrations of members who were born in November and December. This event was well-coordinated by Glynis Viegas, our Zonal coordinator and Bhaskar Gomes, Bombay Prayer Network representative of the North A - Zone alongside members of other prayer groups.
While experiencing God's abounding love and the anointing of the Holy Spirit, the Zonal Outreach served as a gentle reminder that Jesus is the Lord of our life.
