Appreciation Day: Celebrating Associations at Our Parish

Writer: St Thomas ChurchSt Thomas Church

In a heartwarming display of gratitude and fellowship, our parish recently hosted an Appreciation Day for all the associations that play an integral role in our community. The event witnessed a gathering of around 120 people, who embarked on a memorable outing to Samara Resort, Madh Island. This day of celebration and appreciation proved to be a resounding success, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie among the participants.

The day began with great excitement as three buses were arranged to transport everyone to the beautiful Samara Resort. The journey itself was marked with laughter, conversations, and a sense of anticipation for the day ahead.

Upon reaching the resort, the attendees were treated to a delicious breakfast, fueling their energy for the eventful day. The participants were then divided into groups, each led by a volunteer, to encourage interaction and teamwork. Group games were organized, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and laughter. Throughout the day, a leaderboard was maintained to keep track of the scores, adding an element of friendly rivalry and excitement.

To replenish their energies, a sumptuous lunch was served which the participants savoured while engaging in conversations and relishing the joyful atmosphere. In the evening, a delightful tea and snacks break offered a much-needed respite, allowing everyone to recharge for the remainder of the activities.

Towards the end, a ceremony was held to appreciate the efforts of all participants. Prizes were distributed to the winners, recognizing their exceptional performances during the group games. This gesture not only acknowledged their achievements but also encouraged a sense of pride and accomplishment among all attendees. However, the true prize of the day was the bond formed and the lasting memories created.

As the participants bid farewell to Samara Resort and returned home, their hearts were filled with cherished memories. The Appreciation Day not only brought together individuals from different associations but also strengthened the bonds of friendship and camaraderie within the community. The laughter, the shared experiences, and the spirit of gratitude would forever remain etched in their minds. As we reflect on this remarkable day, we are reminded of the importance of appreciation and unity in fostering vibrant and connected communities.
