FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT
1. 3rd December the solemn feast of St Francis Xavier, the principal patron of the Archdiocese.
7th December the memorial of St. Ambrose.
2. Today we begin the Season of Advent, a time of preparation for Christmas the first coming of Christ is recalled and our minds are directed by the memorial of the second coming at the end of time. Advent is a season of joyful and spiritual expectation.
3. The Senior Citizens will have the get-together tomorrow/today after the 9.30 am Mass in the school quadrangle.
4. The youth of our parish have organized a Football tournament on the school grounds tomorrow/today after the 9.30 am mass. All are invited on the grounds to encourage our youth and cheer the players. Throw ball tournament for women has been postponed till further notice due to insufficient teams to play.
5. The Legion of Mary has organized an organ donation awareness session at all masses today and tomorrow. Details of the same will be explained during this session.
6. There will be a Mass in Konkani on 3rd December 2024 after 7.30 pm organized by St. Francis Xavier devotees of our parish. All are invited to attend the feast Mass.
7. There will be half-hour Eucharist Adoration on 6th November 2024 at 6.30 pm conducted by Bombay Catholic Sabha.
8. There will be a youth meeting on 7th Dec after the evening mass. Requesting all youth to attend.
9. Advent Campaign Against Hunger and Disease envelopes will be distributed by the community coordinator/animator to all families. Please drop the envelopes in the collection box. Please be generous. A letter from his Eminence Oswald Cardinal Gracias is posted on the notice board.
10. There will be Church cleaning on Sunday 8th December 2024 after the 9.30 am Mass. Parishioners are requested to come in large numbers for the same. The Community Coordinators are requested to motivate the members to come and clean the Church.
11. Christmas Bazaar and Stalls will be organized by the Communities on Sunday 15th December 2024 around the entrance of our school.
12. Reminder to all Examiner subscribers to pay their subscription amount of 1100/-for the year 2025 at the bookstall. We look forward to more parishioners to come forward and subscribe for The Examiner. The Examiner Christmas special colour issue will be available at Rs.100/- Nonsubscribers to kindly book your Christmas issue copy in advance.
13. A gentle reminder to our parishioners to contribute to the Community Welfare Fund. The Community Welfare Fund amount collected for the month of November 2024 is Rs.60,850/- The amount paid to our parishioners in the month of November 2024 towards Medical Aid is Rs. 25,300/-
14. College of Social work Nirmala Niketan is selling candles tomorrow/today, in the porch prepared by the destitute elderly people. Kindly Patronize.
